Senior Course
Jamie Jackson Jamie is a New York native, born and raised in Brooklyn. Jamie has worked with artists such as Babyface, Stevie Wonder, Praz of the Fugees, Shirley Caesar, and P. Diddy and has had the opportunity to choreograph for the "Let's Dance" video, mini tour for Hezekiah Walker and a BET Janet Jackson Tribute to name a few accomplishments. He has also been featured in videos including: "All Things" (Fab 5), "Chabine" (Matt), and "99 Problems" (Jay-Z).
With a natural gift of movement, Jamie's style of choreography emphasizes interpreting the song and telling the story through the dance. His goal is to bring out the versatility and performance qualities in dancers, helping to prepare them to dance out side of the classroom.
JAVIER VELASCO Javier has been hailed by the San Diego Union-Tribune as "San Diego's answer to Jerome Robbins" and was listed among people to watch in the art and theater scene by San Diego Magazine. Awarded the Critics Circle Award for the original choreography of SUDS. His numerous choreographic credits include the musicals West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, The Rocky Horror Show and Hair, as well as the musical staging for the New York Revue Back to Bacharach And David.
Paula Vacarey Paula trained at London Contemporary Dance School, earning a BA in Contemporary Dance and Choreography. Co-founder of Foundationz Cru, she performed in the commercial sector for Puma, Nike, Levi?s and Diesel to name a few and with artists ranging from Boyzone to Wyclef. Paula tested her B-girl battle skills in USA, UK and at the B-Girl Worldwide Championships Berlin, sponsored by Nike with the all female crew Outbreak
